Abri Credit Union's Two $1,000 College Scholarship Winners

The Abri Credit Union scholarship program awards a graduating high school senior and an existing higher education student a $1,000 college scholarship to use towards their college tuition. ACU is excited to announce DeWhon Gavin and Shalinee Abraham as the two winners for the $1,000 Abri college scholarship. Scholarship applicants were required to submit a 500 word essay or a 60-second video/commercial that conveyed a clear, clever message of their financial knowledge on a choice of topics.

DeWhon Gavin  is a current Providence Catholic High School student, and football captain, who will graduate in the spring. He will then attend St. Francis University starting in the Fall of 2019. He created a video that was chosen as the Abri Credit Union high school scholarship winning entry.

DeWhon  was presented with his scholarship on February 28th by Abri's President/CEO, Brian Cedergren at our Joliet Branch.
