We want to make things easier for you! Make a payment to your Abri Credit Union loan or credit card from any external account. Make your payment by replying to a text message or online. Your personal data is encrypted for your security.

With MessagePay you can: 

  • Make your loan or credit card payment quickly and securely by text message
  • Receive payment confirmations by text or email
  • Receive payment reminders by text message 5 days before your payment due date
  • Receive text reminders if a payment becomes past due
  • Use a convenient payment link directly from the text reminder

How MessagePay Works:

  • Once you verify your account for MessagePay, you will receive a text message informing you of the amount due on your loan. You will be able to review your payment options, or you can opt out of your text message service by texting "STOP."
  • The link will take you to a portal where you will be asked to verify your account with your account number and date of birth.
  • When you verify your account for the first time, you will have to set up the following:
    • 4-Digit PIN: Once you have entered your account number and date of birth, you will be prompted to create a 4-digit PIN. Store this information in a secure location; you will need your PIN to verify future payments.
    • Preferred method of payment: To make a payment, add a preferred form of payment to the portal. You can do this by selecting "Add New Debit Card" or "Add New Bank Account" which will prompt a "Payment Method Success" and you will be redirected to the payment portal.
  • Once your account has been successfully verified, you will be directed to the payment portal where you will be able to see all of your loans and credit cards. You will also be able to select your preferred payment method.
  • Each payment made through Message Pay is $5.99

How can I pay my account via text message?

Once you receive a text reminder, you respond “Pay” to the same text. You will be asked to enter your PIN to verify your account, once you have completed this process your payment will be complete and you should receive a confirmation text. Please note you will have to setup a 4 digit PIN and preferred method of payment prior to using text payments.

How do I make a payment without being charged a fee?

The $5.99 convenience fee is only if you use the MessagePay service via text or from this portal. If you log into your Abri Online Banking account or the Mobile App to make a payment from one of your Abri accounts, you will not be charged any fees.

If I opt out of receiving text messages, can I still pay my loans online?

Yes, you will have to access the payment portal through the "Pay My Loan" link in the top navigation of our website. However, you will not receive any text notifications regarding your payment reminders, and you will not be able to make a payment via text message.
