IDCheck Verification
Required for out of state IDs for shared branching
Shared Branching users with out of state IDs will need to verify their identity through IDCheck as part of the new CO-OP Shared Branch network policy. IDCheck is a new tool designed to enhance security and streamline identity verification for Shared Branching transactions when visiting another state. This measure is designed to enhance the security of your transactions and protect your accounts from fraud.
How it works:
- Visit https://verify.coop.org/
- Select your credit union from the drop-down list
- Enter your member number and the last four digits of your social security number
- Upload a photo of your ID
- Take a selfie for identity verification (note: you can save your validation for future use)
- You will receive a one-time passcode, valid for 20 minutes, that you must show to the teller to proceed with your transaction
Important notes
- Verification is required for all shared branching involving out-of-state IDs
- If you're unable to verify, your transaction may be limited or declined. Tellers may offer other verification options when possible.
- Military IDs are exempt – If you’re using a military ID, this process does not apply.
