How to Get Started

Complete a Membership Application/Agreement Online

Verifying your identity:

If we can’t verify your identity online, we’ll need to see two forms of ID at an Abri branch to open your account. Examples of when this may happen:

  • You’ve had issues with your checking account history
  • You have limited credit/work history in the U.S.
  • You (or your co-applicant) are under the age of 16

OR

  1. Print a PDF of our Membership Application/Agreement, Beneficiary Designation Form and Services Guide
  2. Complete the Application, beneficiary form and bring them, along with one of the following forms of identification into any Abri Branch and deposit $5 to open your account. (Other identity verification documents may be required in accordance with the USA Patriot Act.

Photo Identification Options Include the following:

  1. Valid Driver's License with your current street address or
  2.  Valid Passport, along with proof of your current address or
  3. Valid State ID, along with proof of your current address

Current proof of address may be provided by:

  • Utility bill (listing current address)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • Property Tax bill (listing current address)
  • Government issued Lab ID
  • Credit Card Statement (listing current address)
  • Vehicle Registration (listing current address)
  • Housing Rental Agreement (listing current address)
