Moving your checking account has never been easier!

Once you open your Abri Credit Union checking account, our Online Switch Kit will walk you through each step of moving your old account to Abri Credit Union! Simply type your information once and the switch kit instantly generates all the forms and letters you need to make the switch!

What you need to get started:
For security purposes, we do not allow you to save the switch form in the middle, so before completing the switch kit form please gather the following information:

• Your Abri Credit Union account number
• Your previous financial institutions name, address & account number(s). This is needed to close your old account(s). 
• Name(s) & account number(s) for companies that make electronic withdrawals from your account. This includes automatic debits (ACH) or automatic charges to your debit and/or credit cards. Common uses of automatic debits include rent/mortgage, insurance, utilities, telephone, and cable bills.
• Name & address of Direct Deposit(s) include payroll, taxes, retirement and pension plan accounts, or expense reimbursements. Social Security customers need to call the Social Security Administration at 800-772-1213 or go to www.ssa.gov.

Make the Switch

Steps to complete the switch kit
Step 1 - Enter your new Abri Credit Union checking account information. If you don't have an account with Abri Credit Union you will need to open one before switching. Complete a checking account application now.
Step 2 - Enter the institution name & account information for the account you are closing
Step 3 - List any automated debits (ACH) and/or Direct Deposit(s)

 

When you are finished you will have:

• Cover letter from Abri Credit Union
• Switch Kit Checklist that details what you need to do
• Letters for each automatic payment you need to change
• Letter for changing your direct deposit(s)
• Letter to close your old checking account

Online Bill Pay Users
If you use online bill payment services at your previous financial institution, be sure to cancel each payee and add them to your Abri Credit Union Online Bill Pay. If you have not yet signed up, complete your enrollment now.
